The Crackerjack Visioning Wheel™

Very excited to share that I’ll soon be launching The Crackerjack Visioning Wheel™, a new approach to helping teams and organisations turn their vision into reality.

Based on my experiences over the last 15 years of working with organisations to visualise their visions, The Crackerjack Visioning Wheel™ will help turn those vision’s into reality. Bringing an holistic, systematic and insightful approach to what can sometimes be a challenging activity, the process will drive out what needs to change and what can be built upon to achieve your vision.

The Crackerjack Visioning Wheel™ will be available via facilitated workshops (online and face to face), as a keynote session at your next conference, on a licensed basis for consultancies, and as a book (launching later in 2025).

More details soon…

Helping Dassault Systèmes visualise their stories and value proposition

During 2024 I’ve worked with Juha Burtsoff, Sales Executive at Dassault Systèmes, and his colleagues on a number of rich picture projects (which they now refer to as “Crackerjack’s”!).

Juha was kind enough to send over the following feedback about the work we’ve done together:

Hi John,

These “Crackerjack’s” [rich pictures created by Crackerjack] have created alignment and helped me a lot. Thank you!

Benefits are two-fold:

• They have helped to align our own internal storytelling and value proposition crafting.
• For customers, we can deliver more consistent storytelling and value propositioning using the “Crackerjack’s”.

Crackerjack as a format is great for value storytelling. However, equally important is the process to create the story and formulate the “Crackerjack”. Working with you to create our “Crackerjack’s” has helped us to define, agree and crystallise the stories we want to tell both internally and to our customers – which is not always easy without the help of someone to guide the process.

Thanks again,

Juha

It always great to hear about how visual thinking and rich pictures can bring real business benefits for our clients – in this case by helping more clearly share their value proposition both internally and with customers.

Visual Thinking isn’t just a buzzword…

https://videos.files.wordpress.com/r5F7HZCj/buzzword.mp4

Visual thinking isn’t just a trendy buzzword; it’s a powerful tool that can transform the way you approach challenges and communicate ideas.

In a world where information is abundant and time is limited, the ability to quickly distil complex concepts into clear, visual representations is invaluable.

Visual thinking helps improve information retention, enhance creativity, and bridge communication gaps, making it easier to collaborate with others and convey your message effectively.

Whether you’re working in business, education, or any other field, incorporating visual thinking into your toolkit can lead to better problem-solving, more innovative ideas, and a stronger connection with your audience.

It’s not just about drawing pictures—it’s about thinking in a way that makes your ideas more accessible, understandable, and impactful.

How could visual thinking transform the way your organisation communicates and solves problems?

The Evolution of Visual Thinking

Visual thinking has been a part of human communication for thousands of years. Our ancestors used cave paintings to tell stories, record important events, and share knowledge.

These early visual representations laid the foundation for more complex forms of communication, such as writing and drawing.

Over time, visual thinking evolved, with the development of maps, diagrams, and other visual tools that helped people understand and navigate the world around them.

In the modern era, visual thinking has taken on new forms, from infographics and data visualisations to digital sketching and mind mapping.

Despite these advances, the core principles of visual thinking remain the same: using imagery to convey meaning, solve problems, and communicate ideas.

As we continue to explore new ways to visualise information, the importance of visual thinking in our daily lives is only growing.

How has your organisation’s approach to visual communication evolved over time, and where could visual thinking be further integrated?
