Great feedback from Domestic & General

Really pleased to receive the following feedback from Mathew Scoines, Programme Director at Domestic & General, about a rich picture project recently completed for him:

Crackerjack was brought into Domestic and General to help us visually represent an extremely complex new platform via an easily consumable and readable ‘rich picture’.  The process was led by John from Crackerjack who achieved this remit and delivered a service and outcome beyond our expectations.  The method by which Crackerjack engaged with us and elicited the information required to shape this visual output was extremely well crafted and fascinating to be part of.

John guided us patiently and professionally throughout the process and helped us articulate and break down the key aspects of our new platform solution supporting stakeholder and subject matter expert discussions to elicit the right information at the right level of detail.  John listened carefully and focussed on genuinely understanding our business and the context for this task.  This resulted in a rich picture which skilfully encapsulates a very complex solution and presents it in a format which is easily consumable by and useful to both seasoned experts in our business as well as the layperson.

I would recommend both the use of a rich picture to convey complexity in a form which is easy to read and understand and most certainly recommend Crackerjack as the organisation to help achieve this.

We have commissioned Crackerjack now to take the rich picture and build a story based animation and narration around it – this is going extremely well and I have no doubt will turn out great with John’s guidance and expertise.

  • CRACKERJACK VISUAL THINKING CREATES EASTLIGHT HOMES 2021 AGM ‘VALUE FOR MONEY JOURNEY’ WHITEBOARD ANIMATION

CRACKERJACK VISUAL THINKING CREATES EASTLIGHT HOMES 2021 AGM ‘VALUE FOR MONEY JOURNEY’ WHITEBOARD ANIMATION

Crackerjack Visual Thinking was recently asked by David Hall, Eastlight Homes Executive Director for Resources, to create a whiteboard animation to support the finance section of Eastlight’s 2021 Annual General Meeting.

The brief was to create an engaging, informative and fun animation that provided an overview of how Eastlight provides value for money for its customers. David has kindly agreed to let us share the ‘Value for Money Journey’ animation below which takes people “along a road very near you”…

After the event, we asked David how the animation had been received by the AGM audience and his answer was:

“Very well.  We presented the animation at the meeting yesterday evening and had some very positive immediate feedback. People liked the different and more informal approach to this subject and we are going to put it onto our website.”

David Hall | Executive Director Resources | Eastlight Homes

This was great to hear and we’re really pleased that the animation will provide on-going value via Eastlight’s website (in addition to the original aim of creating the animation for use at Eastlight’s AGM).

  • As the UK ‘unlocks’, it’s more important than ever to communicate a clear vision for your business

As the UK ‘unlocks’, it’s more important than ever to communicate a clear vision for your business

As the countries of the UK emerge from the latest lockdown and progress through their COVID roadmaps, many businesses are opening up for the first time in months and/or having to adapt to how their customers want to do business now that they are used to working in a virtual, working from home, socially distanced, culturally changed (?) world.

The key question for me is how many of those businesses have taken the time to review their business vision (which maps out the fundamental way in which they operate and details what they are striving to achieve)?

It’s easy to understand why, in the scramble to get income flowing again, many businesses will not take even an hour to review their vision. But they could well be missing out on identifying fundamental issues that could eventually lead to their businesses being uncompetitive in the new post-pandemic world.

Realising that you are targeting the wrong customers, using the wrong channels to deliver products or services and using physical office/shop space in an inefficient way are examples of how taking the time to review your business vision can help guard against running your business in the same way as normal – when the ‘old normal’ potentially no longer exists!

So please, take time to review your vision and make sure it is fit for the future (and not the future as you saw it 18 months ago).

    All the best,

    John
