    Sneaky Peak! #visualthinking

Just thought I’d share a few small elements of a much larger rich picture I’m creating for a client to help them communicate their new vision and engage their target audience in their work.

The staring point for the rich picture was a powerpoint presentation containing outline bullet points for each element of the new vision. I then worked with the client to really understand and explore the vision and identify the real-life impact this would have on their target audience.

From this exploration I’ve been able to create a rich picture that visually shows how their vision will enable their target audience to make a real impact to the lives of the general public.

I’m hoping to be able to share the whole graphic with you in June once it’s been launched at the organisations annual conference (where I’m also creating a live graphic recording of the key themes, thoughts and ideas emerging from the event).

  • Now that’s a novel use for black insulation tape and a whiteboard! #visualthinking

Just spotted this advert for a new TVR sports car which uses just black electrical insulation tape and a whiteboard to visualise a teaser image of the new car.

Just shows that you don’t have to stick to pens and paper to communicate your ideas visually!

  • Great feedback from the Woodland Trust on their 10 Year Vision ‘rich picture’ created by www.crackerjackvisualthinking.com #engagement #visual #e4s

    Woodland Trust 10 Year Vision

“John [from Crackerjack Visual Thinking] took the information relating to our 10 year vision and represented it in a really clear way that made perfect sense.”

Anne Lightowler – Head of HR Woodland Trust

“The 10 Year Vision rich picture [created by Crackerjack Visual Thinking] will be an accessible reminder of what we are all about and what we are aiming to achieve. It works really well and encapsulates our strategy at a high level, giving everyone the wider context.”

  • Have a look at Crackerjack’s testimonials!

    Here’s our latest testimonial:

Liam Humphreys – Exercise Science Researcher, Sheffield Hallam University

John attended the launch event of Active Everyday; a physical activity referral programme for people affected by cancer in Sheffield. The project is funded by Macmillan Cancer Support and Sport England.

The event included a diverse blend of delegates, including clinicians, nurses, researchers, commissioners, and people affected by cancer. The programme included many different speakers all promoting the benefits of physical activity for people with cancer. I asked John to attend the event because I wanted a creative way of providing delegates with an overview of the day.

The finished piece was extremely well received by the attendees and John was able to explain his artistic vision from what he had heard throughout the event. I now have a great piece of work that I can share with everyone from the event and for events in the future.

John was very easy to work with and accommodating to my requests. I would certainly use him again for future events and would highly recommend him to others.

If you would like a more creative and interactive experience for your events or meetings; John is your man.

  • A thought for Monday morning – ‘Don’t make a To-Do LIST, make a To-Do DOODLE’…

Why not start your working week by ditching the ‘To-Do List’ and unleashing your creative side by drawing a ‘To-Do Doodle‘ on a blank piece of A4 (or bigger) paper.

You will find that using this approach can help you see things differently, generate new ideas and identify linkages between different tasks that would not have easily been spotted using the traditional linear text-based ‘to-do list’ approach.

Just start drawing as thoughts come into your head. There’s no right or wrong way to do this. Don’t worry if it’s messy or you have to cross things out and draw them again – it’s all part of the visual and creative process!

Please let Crackerjack know how this visual technique works for you this week?

    Thanks!
